In an effort to provide assistance to shelters, #TeamPitStop provides medical, boarding, and training sponsorships with the goal of getting shelter animals into loving homes.
If you would like to help us provide these services, please donate to our sponsorship programs via PayPal using donate@pspbrt.org.
We provide FREE volunteer-based transport services to shelters and rescues throughout the Eastern half of the U.S. Capacity depends on available transporter(s).
Although our goal is to transport larger breed dogs as they have a harder time being adopted out of the shelter system, we don't discriminate. We have transported many breeds including Chi's, Miniature Pinchers, German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, Mastiffs, and Labs.
As transporters do this on a volunteer basis we are always in need of gas cards to assist with cost / longer transports.
Chips iN Pits is the latest PSPBRT program that helps enable members of the community to locate their loved ones in the event that they become lost. The last thing anyone wants to hear is that a missing family pet is not microchipped.
We are partnering with local veterinarians to make this happen. Our goal is to microchip 100 Pit Bulls or Bully Breed types each quarter.
Please consider sponsoring one dog or one hundred! Each $10 donation goes toward getting a loved one "Back Home Where We Belong".
Often times on transport animals are scared and confused. As a way to help calm them we decided to start providing a toy that they could cuddle with on their journey. This has now grown into a wonderful program where we provide toys and treats to every animal on transport with us.
We are lucky enough to have two great supporters that collect donations for us.
If you would like to help by providing items for our Toys 4 Transport Program we can always use new nylabones, kongs, balls, plush toys, treats, collars, leashes, blankets, etc. or if you are interested in being a donation location, please email us at contactus@pspbrt.org.
You can drop off donations at either location or make a monetary donation to PitStop Pit Bull Rescue Transport via PayPal (donate@pspbrt.org) denoting the Toys for Transport Program.
Your local shelters are normally funded with only enough money to provide basic shelter and food for animals that have found themselves homeless oftentimes due to no fault of their own.
#TeamPitStop would like to be able to assist shelters with urgent needs in North Florida and South Georgia.

What is fostering and why should I consider it?
Fostering means bringing in a homeless pet with the goal of nurturing them until a permanent home can be found with a family who’ll love them forever.
Fostering an animal allows shelters to open a space for another animal in need.
As a foster ....
#TeamPitStop has needs for short term or overnight fosters when animals are on transport.
